MUSSAFAH

 

 

 

Several times a year, when ouside temperature permits it, I venture south-east of Abu Dhabi centre to a satellite town called Mussafah. It is the golden triangle for finding car parts and mechanics workshops, a no-go zone for expats, a maze of roads with a men only population.

This is my eldorado for street photography as people there are friendly and happy to be noticed. It is also important for me to shed a light on this community that forms a vast workforce that lives and works very far from the glitter and gold of the city centre glorious facades.
